Baby Shower PoPs

I recently had my baby shower and being the control freak I am I had to make my own cake pops and cupcakes for the Shower :)

They are so cute with the tiny baby feet!!
Doing more for another shower this weekend. Except for a girl so that will be fun to get some pink in my life. Everything has been blue for a while, I guess that comes along with having a baby boy right??

Behind The Times

Life is nuts
No life is crazy absolutely crazy right now. Preparing for a baby, doctor appointments, baking, work, being tired and crabby. All of this is so time consuming ;)

I know I'm super late on this but I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentines day! I know I did! I did so many cute orders for Valentines day(which I loved every second of) I even got a nice email from one of the girls who received a cake pop bouquet from her fiance saying that she loved it and it was so delicious. That just warms my heart!!
I love it!!

I know I know its only January 11th, but I get super excited for Valentines day. . .
all the beautiful pink and red colors floating about in the stores and the yummy treats and flowers that go hand and hand with Valentines day get me all smiley:)

So I'm sure many people have seen the popular show Cake Boss!!
Since my fiance and I don't believe in paying an ungodly amount of $$$$ for cable, especially when every time you turn the tv on there is NOTHING on to watch anyways, we have been watching cake boss on netflix!
Being a baker I love the show, I love his creations and the drama of the show. My fiance on the other hand hates that they push the dramaticness in the show and hates that his big huge italian family is SOOOO loud and obnoxious. He also hates that they use rice crispy treats to build some of the cakes because in his eyes its not a real cake if you aren't using all elements of cake!! Its acutally hard to watch the show with him because of all his bratty comments :) But I still love him, he just doesn't appreciate the true art of dramatic television hehe!!
Well in a few of the past episodes they have made cakes filled with cannoli filling and have made cannolis for certain special occasions. Well I have never had a cannoli in my life, but boy did they look delcious. Every episode that has this creamy cannoli goodness filling cakes makes my pregnant body drool!
So tonight while I was sitting there itching to bake something and trying to come up with something different that I haven't seen before, I thought YESS thats it cannoli cupcakes!!
So here they are I started with a white chocolate cupcake, filled it with this cannoli goodness and topped it off with a creamy whippy chocolate frosting!

Yum I love the cannoli filling. its not too sweet and its light and creamy!!

The New Year

2012 huh. Crazy right?
I am excited to see what the New Year will bring
I will be bringing my first baby into the world,
I have many goals set that I am going to acheive
& I'm sure the year will bring along many good and bad suprises!!

As you know I am having a baby boy:)
My wonderful Fiance suprised me today,
I have been dreading painting the baby room,
so today we got our old clothes on to paint
and my fiance opened the door and it was all done!!
I was so HAPPY!!! It looks perfect, we still have to add a few
final touches and we have a couple of really cute jungle vinyls
to decorate the walls but here it is.

I haven't had much time for baking the last few days but hopefully soon, and when it happens ill be sure to post some yummy pictures!

Perfect Holiday breakfast

So pinterest has taken over my life. . . Its a love hate relationship, I love the ideas on there, but hate that looking through all the pages takes up my WHOLE day ;)
So I saw an idea for cinnamon roll cupcakes and decided to create my own recipe for it and can I say they turned out delicious! I Love sweet things in the morning so I think that this would make the perfect holiday morning treat.
It may not have all the nutritious values we need but hey its yummy right?
Here are my results:

all frosted up with cream cheese frosting!! Ohh the goodness :)

So tomorrow I go in for my 18 wk baby check up then two weeks from that we get to find out the gender :)))) YAY
So i will be doing a fun baking project for that to announce to everyone what we are having, so be on the look out!!
I think we are having a baby boy, due to the fact that I'm as big as another little lady I work with, who is 7 months along and having a baby girl.

The beginning of the Holiday Season Has Begun. . .

Christmas music on the radio, walking into the stores and smelling cinnamon and pine cones and seeing all the beautiful happy Christmas decorations. . . This is my FAVORITE time of the year. My tummy tickles around all the excitement and hustle and bustle of the season! I hope everyone is enjoying this as much as I am.
I thought that I would share with you what I have been up to the past few weeks since I haven't talked to you in so long! I had my first big cupcake order for a breaking dawn party!! I had so much fun being in the kitchen day and night baking cupcakes and decorating them. Here are my end results:
